OUR PROCESS

project logistics

Generally, this is the order of operations we follow over the course of a photography project:

  • To begin with, we like to get to know our clients! We want to properly understand your needs and make sure that we’d be a good fit for your business and your project. It’s at this point that we generally ask a series of questions to help us figure out how best to help you. We’ll either be figuring out if we can deliver the requirements you’ve asked for or we’ll be working with you to design a project from scratch.

  • Once we have a clear picture of your needs, we can go ahead and determine your project’s deliverables and budget. This is a great time to familiarize yourself with our terms of service.

  • When you’re ready to move forward, you can go ahead and ship us your product! At this point, we suggest letting us know as soon as possible when your product will arrive so we can schedule you in to the studio. For reference, we’re located in Winnipeg, Canada. We’re often booked 2-3 weeks in advance, so it’s best to schedule early. To clarify, we book projects on a first come, first served basis and (unless agreed upon in advance) we will not set aside time for your production until we have received a shipping ETA and tracking information.

  • When your package has made it to our studio, we'll get in touch with you as soon as possible to confirm your product’s safe arrival and ask any last-minute questions. At this point, we may also send over your invoice so you can place a deposit.

  • Once your production date arrives, we'll begin working on your project!

    • Here’s what the workflow looks like for a photography project:

      • First, we’ll take your product into the studio and shoot the photographic assets required to fulfill your request. If you’d like, you can join us virtually during the shoot via a live camera feed or video call.

      • Next, we take these images into Adobe Lightroom to sort your shots, select the very best ones, and do our first round of photo editing.

      • Finally, we take care of any additional design or retouching needs in Photoshop, then export the final images to your desired specifications.

    • Here’s what the workflow looks like for a videography project:

      • First, we’ll take your product into the studio and shoot the video assets required to fulfill your request.

      • Next, we take the footage into Premiere to sort your shots, select the very best ones, and do our first rough editing pass.

      • Finally, we add music and effects to create a dynamic video with smooth transitions, then export the final video to your desired specifications.

  • In general, we aim to deliver samples for you to review within 7 business days (from the project start date) for projects up to 5 images, 10 business days for projects up to 10 images, and 14 business days for larger (more than 10 image) projects. This estimate may change depending on the complexity of your requirements. Feel free to let us know if you need a more accurate estimate or if you have a deadline that needs to be met.

  • Once we've completed the work, we'll send over samples for you to review. If everything is in order, we’ll send over your invoice based on the work we’ve done. Once you’ve accepted and sent payment, we’ll send over high resolution copies of your images (or videos) and the project is complete! If you’d like, we can also host your images on our client Google Drive server (we’ll just need your email address to do so).

    • In the event revisions are required, our policy is as follows: we’re more than happy to revise images due to an error on our part (e.g. if we’ve missed a specific request, for example). However, if images have to be completely re-shot and cannot be revised through post production alone, any creative change requests or additional instructions may come at an additional cost to cover our time as well as any extra overhead (e.g. additional modelling fees, single use props, etc.). The best way to avoid this is to schedule some time to be present with us during your shoot (via a live camera feed or video call) to allow you provide us with direct feedback.

  • Throughout the process, please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share! We love chatting with you about your project and we enjoy working with engaged clients.
